Things went a lot smoother last night. He cried, but it wasn't the same frantic cry and when I went in to comfort him, he didn't claw at my face...which was nice. It only took him an hour to go to bed, but I stayed out a little bit longer just to make sure. I was also playing video games...
So, during his crying bouts, in the first part before he falls asleep, he's been just moving around the crib in his fury. Sunday night he ended up on his stomach, cheek pressed into the mattress, and arms out, with his butt in the air, asleep. I had to re position him, so he woke up of course. Last night, he ended up sideways in the crib on his stomach, with his legs sticking out of the crib. They were stuck up to his thighs, and I had to be very careful to get them out, poor guy. I still didn't pick him up, even though I'm sure he felt bad. He was still awake, but had just laid down in defeat I guess.
Yesterday we put him in the crib for a nap, and it took three tries, but when he finally went down and slept at 3pm, he slept for two hours.
Also. He slept through the night!
